The Promise of Do Because You Can Events
The promise of 'Do it Because You Can' is to contribute time and effort to DO whatever it takes to raise awareness and funding for chronic illnesses and to empower others to participate.
Most of us were fortunate to be borne with the health, time and committment to participate in activities such as; walking, hiking, biking, climbing, paragliding or rowing while those who suffer chronic illness or pain struggle each day to make it through another day.
The concept of 'Do Because You Can' is borne from the idea, that we as individuals can all make a difference no matter how big or small our contribution. The 'Do it because you Can' theme is intended to be inclusive rather than exclusive.
The promise we make is to organize and facilitate participation, focused on raising awareness and funds for chronic illnesses.
We stage annual events and may stage periodic larger events in support of this promise.
Keeping with the spirit of being inclusive, activities are not exclusive and may include walking, running, hiking, climbing, biking, soaring, rowing or other activities that will help focus the awareness and raising of donations for chronic illnesses.
Are you getting involved today? Organize a local event of your own, your own Local Grind, advertise and promote it here!
